When would you use a gradient tween in a flash other than in something like narwals?
There are other applications, such as shadowing, sunsets, spotlighting, etc. Just play around.
I also like to use Shape Tweens as a quick and easy FadetoBlack
I did this a year ago but never got around to making a tutorial
also if you make the little circle thing as small as you can get it (zoom in as much as you can and keep shrinking it) it fucks up the rendering (like in the rainbow movie in <a href="http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/412815">http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /412815</a> )

So I'm not the only one to have used this (although I didn't bother to come up with a sexy name for it). As you said, It's great for sunsets, but I can't do the trippy 3D effect without spending hours on doing about 50 gradients because I only have Flash MX.
Thanks for the tutorial, and I hope some other people will use this, (I expect to see several thousand "MAI OWRSUM TWEEN" flashes come out soon as a result of this,) but there may be something good...

problem is, most people will just leave it on, turn off their speakers, and go to bed. by the time they wake up, they've got the achievement!
